Orthodox Syrian Sunday School Association of the East (SUNDAY SCHOOL)
The history of our Sunday School can be traced back to 1976 and beyond. The Sunday School was started a house at Ambalamukku at its early stage. In 1976, the classes were shifted to the then newly constructed Chapel which later gave birth to the present Parish. To-day, the Sunday School has 112 students up to class XII, with 21 teachers. Class timing is from 9.30 a.m to 11.00 a.m.
The Sunday School of the Parish is famous all over the Malankara for its outstanding performance in curricular and co-curricular activities. It has to its credit first positions at the District, Diocese and Akhila Malankara level competitions. Details of such score are given below.
It had Sri John Varghese and Sri M Eapen as Headmasters in its early stage. Mrs Sosamma Alex had been holding that position from 1983 to 2011, certainly a long stint. (She continues to serve as a Sunday School Teacher). Sri Roney Varghese is the current Headmaster. Sri Zachariah P Samuel is the staff council secretary from 2004.
